Edge City Talkshow
| Edge City är en talkshow som äger rum i Husby centrum 25 augusti. Verket bygger på idén om skrivbordet som en symbol för arbete, makt och välstånd, men också för intimitet och privatsfär. “Vilket skrivbord sitter du vid?” – är dagens existentiella fråga. | Edge City is a talk show that will take place in Husby centrum on 25 August. The artwork is built on the idea of a desk as a symbol of work, power and prosperity, but also of intimacy and the private sphere. The question of “Whose desk are you sitting at?” is today’s existential question. |
| Shiva Anoushirvani (f 1979) är utbildad vid Goldsmiths University of London, England, och Gerleborgskolan i Stockholm. Hennes arbeten tar plats i skärningspunkten mellan konst och aktivism. Hon arbetar med foto, video och performance. Anoushirvani är också aktiv i konstnärsgruppen RAR: Rapid Art Response där syftet är att med konst ge snabb respons på aktuella samhällsfrågor och debatter. RAR har b la låtit folk ta plats i en talarstol för att läsa upp riksdagstal från ett urval på en dataskärm framför dem. Her work takes place at the intersection between art and activism in which psychological mechanisms and social power structures always are present. She examines these mechanisms with the camera and the cinematic language as a tool. Anoushirvani also works with photography and performance art. She is also active in the artist group RAR: Rapid Art Response where the purpose is to make quick responses in the form of artworks that give feedback on current affairs and debates.
